Over the last 30+ years, two friends, became Two Fat Guys
In the summer of 1978, Bob and Kent, a.k.a the Two Fat Guys (much thinner
back then) were in the midst of planning the party of the year. They claim
that only family and friends were invited, but word of mouth gathered
nearly 300 people to the event. There were plenty of mouths to feed,
and not a lot of money, so the two settled on a pig roast, and the
journey began.
The fact is, our beloved Two Fat Guys never intended on crafting a barbecue sauce of their
own, but this party called for something extra. They quickly doctored up a store-bought sauce, thinking
nothing of it - that is, until it became the hit of the party.
Obviously, the barbecue sauce had made a mark. After the party, Bob and Kent went to work refining
their recipe, until one day they realized that they were no longer doctoring up a store-bought sauce.
They had a great recipe all along, and the store-bought sauce was removed from their secret formula.
They had really done it...!They developed a recipe for a gourmet barbecue sauce, and it was great!.
As years passed, both Bob and Kent were married with growing families. On weekends, and in their spare
time, the two focused on their barbecue sauce, and another joint venture: a catering business called
Pigs R Us. Pigs R Us catered events such as weddings, corporate picnics, family reunions, and other
outdoor events. They specialized in pig roasts with all the fixin's, along with their gourmet barbecue
sauce, which was always a favorite.
As life got busier, Pigs R Us faded, but their love for barbecue and cooking didnt. Family and friends
alike have grown to love Two Fat Guys Gourmet Sauces, and today, the Two Fat Guys are back in the
kitchen (although they never really left), crafting and perfecting recipes that we hope you enjoy.
That's our story - and we're stickin' to it!
