Slow and Low Style

Pulled Pork made with Two Fat Guys Smoky BBQ sauce recipe photo

Ingredients:

 

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup or less of kosher salt

2 tbs. paprika

2 tsp. garlic powder

2 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. dry mustard

1 tsp. cumin

Pork shoulder roast (also known as pork butt)

4-6 onions- peeled and sliced in half

1 16 oz. jar Two Fat Guys Smoky BBQ Sauce

 

 

 

Instructions:

Mix together first  7 ingredients. Rub mixture all over roast. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place pork roast on bed of sliced onions, roast 6-7 hours (check at 6 hours, if the pork easily pull apart, remove from oven). Using a fork, pull apart. Add a cup of water to liquid that remains in roast pan. Scrap to loosen bits along with onion. Cook for 5 minutes or so to reduce liquid a bit. Stir bbq sauce into liquid, add pulled pork. Serve on roll of your choice. Note: any flavor of Two Fat Guys BBQ Sauce works well with this recipe.
